Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmtu Allah (Peace be with you)
Dear Community Members,
Eid Mubarak to you and your families on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Adha and may Allah accept the Hajj from our Brothers and Sisters in Mecca, and accept your good deeds during the blessed Days of Dhul Hijjah. Hajj and Eid are also the time to renew our connections with our community and be present. It is a time of happiness, but also a reminder of where our community is hurting and where we need to be present in whatever capacity we can. The Hajj is a powerful and inspiring symbol of unity and when the Pilgrims wear the ihram it shows we are equal to one another and are on one journey to please Allah (swt) to become pure from our sins. This Eid you can give your Qurbani (Udheyah or sacrifice) to our official partner for Eid Al-Adha this year, Human Concern International. You can donate to this trusted and worthy organization here.
I hope you find this newsletter informative and we hope you join us with your family to celebrate Eid Al-Adha at a MAC Prayer and Festival in your city. As always we would love to hear your feedback, please complete the survey below and let us know what you think.
Eid Mubarak from my family to yours!
May Allah SWT bless you all,

Appreciation Reception with Peel Regional Police Chief Chris McCord
|
|
|
On July 24th MAC HO held a ceremony recognizing and commemorating the servicemen and servicewomen of Peel Regional police with Muslim leaders from across Peel. We truly appreciated Interim-Chief Chris McCord and Superintendent Rob Shearer, for being here with us to accept the Plaque of Appreciation dedicated to Peel’s Finest.
This ceremony is a reminder for us to work together to curb hate and how our law enforcement bodies protect us when we need them the most. At MAC we truly value the selfless work our law enforcement community delivers to all community members and to the many houses of worship established throughout our communities.
